This a two cycle engine used to power a Maytag washing machine. The two cylinder engines came out in 1937 and were built up into the 1950's. I believe that 1952 was the last year for them. This a two cycle engine, so DO NOT attempt to run it on straight gasoline.

It is off a gas powered washer. dont trash it.
value is negotiable, I bet it will run with a little TLC.

It probably does have value...I have been to many antique engine web sites and there is quite a lot of people who restore these engine. I don't have any idea wht they pay for them, but you could do web search for "antique stationary engines maytag" and I'll bet you'll find someone you can email and ask. Probably you could find a buyer too. Dave

They put them in washing machines for people who lacked electricity
