We have rescued a Root & Vandervoort 6hp engine from continuing rust. If you have the big red book by C.H. Wendel it is pictured on page 434 bottom-right of page. It is missing the carburator and to make matters worse the flyball governor is broken off and missing. Does anyone have one of these engines and if you do, what can I do to correct my problems?

My gas powered 1989 Holiday Rambler Crown Imperial ison a P30 series Chevy Chasis. It's a 454, four barrel with two fuel pumps. One is electric in the fuel tank the other on the engine block. My problem is the motorcoach seems to get sluggish as if it's running out of gas around 40 mph. Sometimes it does completly stop. I've changed both fuel pumps, filters, rebuilt the carb. and many other things that I thought could be wrong. I'm now searching desperately for engineering wire schematics as I belive it could be a broken wire or bad relay, but I have no schematics to check it out. Could you please let me know where to look? I've tried the library, the Chev. dealerships, the Advanced Auto, the internet, NAPA and all with no results. I sure would appreciate a prompt reply with a point in the right direction or some helpful advice to our problem. We can't go down the road this way! Thanks so much.
