I have two Fairbanks-Morse headless engines. One is a 1hp Jack Junior and the other is a 1.5hp headless Z engine, both are stuck bad. I've been putting them off for awhile but figured I'd give you guys a crack at figuring out how to unstick them. Any help would be appreciated.

My dad just unseized a 2.5 hp. Cushman. These engines do not have a removeable head. He filled the cylinder with a diesel fuel, Liquid Wrench combination and then made an adapter to hook up to compressed air. This was put in the sparkplug hole. Approx. 100 lbs air pressure and 3days later there was seepage around the piston. In a week, with a little persuading it was"unstuck"

Fix you a fitting that you can pump grease into the cylinder through the the ignitor hole. this should get the pistons loose. I know the Z will have a sparkplug. Try that.

This system works great if you can get the valves to seal. I have used the hydrolics on a tractor to push several pistons out and it has always worked well for me. I let the piston soak for a few days, then fill the cylinder with deisel fuel, and push the psiton out,
