Hi! I have a single cylinder Hallett Engine. I have stripped it down and found it in very good condition. I too have not heard of it before. I have asked members of Vintage Stationary Engine Clubs if any one has heared of a Hallett Engine, but so far I have not had a positive response. I would appreciate any information form other Hallet owners.
Regards,
Francois.

Richard, I have a Hallett 1-cyl. Diesel. I think they were built in California, but not sure...I haven't even looked at mine for years. I think the co. is long gone, but there's quite a few of the engines around here(Colorado). They were used on mine dump carts in the Uranium days.(1950's). They are kind of a neat engine, air-cooled Diesels, head & cyl. are one piece, alum. crankcase as I remember. Rougher than a cob, mine would walk across the floor & out the door in 5 min. I traded a Cessna hyd. pump for the Hallett when I was in High School-just had to have it when I saw it. Ron.
