Try contacting Rival ( Link ) I believe they bought RCW in the 80's and their ice cream maker parts are at least interchangeable with some RCW products. I have also heard that they have the old RCW product manuals available online, but have not checked that.

I have just ordered a new stainless can for my RCW ice cream maker from Rival/White Mountain. They were most helpful. I have the RCW 71 which is the same as Rival 8401. It is 4 quarts. The cost has increased to $16.50 including shipping, but the can is stainless, not tin. The number I called was 1-800-343-0065. They have no expedited shipping, so if you need it more quickly, you are out of luck.

I just ordered a replacement can for my Richmond Cedar Works , 4 quart , model 71 , from Rival (who bought out Richmond some years ago). The Rival can fits the Richmond model as well as the Rival model 8401. $6.00 + $6.50 + state tax. Rival may have replacement cans for other size cans. Call 'em : 1-800-343-0065.

Here's the SCOOP! Rival, which is part of the Holmes Group, purchased RCW. They do not have a website for the ice cream maker parts but they do have a toll free number which is 800-557-4825. I ordered a 5 qt. holding can for $6.25 plus shipping of $6.00. They were very helpful.

I've been looking for information for a Richmond Cedar Works Model 71. Our house burned down 2 years ago and I lost the manual and the paddle in the fire. The ice cream maker itself was stored in our shed. Can someone provide me with a web site address or a valid phone number for the company? Are they even in business any more?

Thanks!

Those of you looking for an instruction manual for the Richmond Cedar Works Mod. 71 can find it at the link below, which also provides online (pdf) manuals for several other makes of ice cream freezers.
Thanks to the person who posted the information re: getting spare RCW freezer parts from Rival. I haven't called (800)557-4875 yet to try, but hope that they still stock these parts!

i have been looking for along time for the instruction manual as well as the receipe to make vanilla chocolate and strawberry ice cream. however these web sites are not informative in giving me proper instructions or the manual. if the company could kindly just send me the manual by e-mail. i would greatly appreciate it, because i have had this ice cream maker for years and only used it once and it's still in great condition and would like to start using it again otherwise it will be of no use to me or any one else if their is no manual to follow. so i hope you receve this e-mail and can respond before tommorrow august 17, 2002, my children need to make ice cream for their icecream stand. thanks to whom ever respond.

i think the manufacturers should give those of us whom still have these older models a free upgrade to the latest model they have. i feel this way because Since they can't seem to try and respond to our request by e-mails, find the manuals for us. or even accompany us with some kind of satisfaction, because we have their products. their neglecting us as consumer of their products and to me thats not right for them to do.

if any manufacturer gets a chance to read this i am very serious no one likes being ignored and its not fair to make your customers suffer like this based on a very simple request and that you should be able to stand by your products old or new.

We have a RCW 5-quart electric ice cream maker. We need to replace Part #11-50-45. The inside of the ice cream pale has become totally rusty. Could you please let us know if we can get the replacement part and if so, the cost. Thank you.

I have an old electric Model 78 4 quart ice cream freezer and everything is just fine but the bucket is rusting and I need a new one. It has a white plastic lid and dasher which are both still okay. Motor and wooden bucket are also fine. Just need the metal bucket. Please advise if this bucket is still available. It was made by Richmond Cedar Works Mfg. Corp. in Danville, Va. Catalog # 178 with A80 impressed in the motor case. Awaiting your reply.

Thank You,
Mrs. Margaret Brownlee

We received Richmond cedar electric ice cream freezer 5 quart size as a wedding gift in 1985.
I have let several people use it and in the process we have lost the instructions and receipts that came with it.
Can you e-mail me some old instructions or new ones might work.

I found info for ice cream maker parts at countrylife.net. They say that Richmond Cedar Works was purchased by Rival and the number to get parts is 1/800/557-4875

I am looking for a new can, with the interior tin still in good shape. I have a can but if the ice cream is left in it, the flavor of the ice cream seems metalic. I would like to order a new can if there are any in warehouses somewhere, or even a good clean, still tinned, used one. Thanks
