Here in the UK the Lister D is highly regarded but it is also extremely common, far more so than any other make, hence values are low. Even a fully restored 'class 1' condition 'D' type is rarely worth more than £100. An unrestored but complete one is worth about £30. Really early 'D' types with a shaft drive magneto and a low fuel tank are usually worth double what the later ones are worth. Still, they are a very easy engine to work on and are very popular over here, I have 5 of them!

A subscription to 'Stationary engine' magazine should provide you with a lot of info. on 'D' types. go to www.kelsey.co.uk for more info.

I have a Lister DKR, dated 1953, c/w Lister H1 pump. I have a little history for the engine, which is in excellent condition and has a new magneto and a rebuilt radiator. It is a first class runner, on petrol, TVO or paraffin. Any idea of an approximate value?
