Do the pictures in CH Wendals "American Gas Engines" book help? There are two FM T verticals shown there.

If you don't have access to Wendal's book, holler back and I'll scan and e-mail them to you.

I have just bought an old Fairbanks-Morris upright
2 hp plate says... Fairbanks-Morris Vertical last patent 1907... does anyone have more info on this engine??? Looks similar to F-M "Jack-of-all-trades" in the Jan 1999 vol.34 issue of G.E.M. (gas engine magazine) Are they rare... worth fixing up?? where can I get parts and more info...
This is my first old engine restoration and I would like to do it right
