OK, now I have a new fuel tank, a new fuel line with check valve. The carb has been cleaned and has new gaskets. I have a new needle valve. And I still can't get it started. Not even a back fire and when I pull the spark plug it is always dry. I don't think it's pumping fuel. Any ideas?

I have a Model LB SN 44165. Anybody know where should the DC mark be on the fly wheel should be when you try to start the engine?
Thanks.

Check the cylinder for gas with a flash light, it could be flooded as mine did at 1 turn. A quarter turn did the trick. Also, try spinning the crank, thumb over, not under. This method worked for my '36 LA. The plug will not be wet with gas even if the engine is flooded.

How many turns out is the mixture screw? Turn it in all the way by hand. DON'T FORCE it with a screwdriver. Then turn it out 1 & 1/2 turns. The engine should start at this setting. If this doesn't work, then take a screw off cap from a soft drink bottle, pour in a little gasoline, and then remove the spark plug. Pour the gas through the spark plug hole, replace the plug, and try to start the engine. It should at least hit a couple of licks.

My mistake on the number of turns. I was tired and thinking of a Briggs. Try just turning it out about a 1/4 turn. Sorry about that.
