I recently purchased a Wonder cement mixer made by the Construction Equipment Co of Waterloo, Ia.
It has a Fuller and Johnson hit & miss engine for power. I am looking for any information on the mixer, like original color, any literature that would indicate original equipment, cost, etc. I believe it was made somewhere in the 1920's based on the engine. It is mounted on a frame that has wheels and a tongue like a trailer that looks original. It is a Size 3, and I also have a shop order number. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I am a brick mason. We recently purchased an old mortor mixer. At some point in time. Someone had fitted it with an electric motor (now gone). On the origional motor (which we mistook as a large gear box)was the plate with serial# etc. The origional motor was a Stover Engine built in 1940. I've found some info on those motors, because people collect and refurbish them. I would love to find more info on the engine. Mainly something that shows the engine and parts in detail. I think we have the whole engine. We just don't know what we're looking at.

Now then. The mixer itself was made by Construction Machinery Co. out of Waterloo Iowa. It's called the Wonder Mixer. Unfortunately, your post is the first information that I've been able to find on that company. An interesting note. John Deere has always been based in Waterloo. Could be they bought Construction Machinery Co? More than likey though, is they put them out of business. I would love to hear any info you find on either Company and if I run across anything I will pass it on to you.

Happy hunting
