I just brought home a Stover 2 1/2 HP motor. Most of the major parts are there. The complete ing. is gone. I dug it out of 8" dirt. on a widows farm. For the most part it looks like it will be a cactus garden ornament. But it could be restored if parts were available enough. Can anyone tell me about when this was built? and/or where to get more info? The data plate says 2 1/2 HP, 375 RPM ser # W60408
Thanks
Craig

Style W, 2 1/2 horsepower Stover engines went into production in late 1910. Production ended in 1915. Over 7,000 Style W engines had been built. Serial numbers 57720-66430...built in 1914. Manufacturing plant was in Freeport, Illinois. Type in Stover stationary engines on any search engine...and you will find suppliers that sell parts and have manuals. Good Luck!

Thanks for the info, But I still can not find any parts sources. The main part that is broken is the rocker arm of course.

No Problem! First get a parts catalogue from Link to help in identifying part numbers you need. They may also have the parts.....if not they will help you find them...This weekend in Portland Swap Meet....plenty of Stover parts. Have Fun!
