I'm looking for any kind of information on Sandow engines. The one in question has a brass tag saying it was manufactured by the Detroit Motor Car Supply Co. It has about a 12-14"double groove V-belt pulley, mated with about a 5" flat belt pulley on the same side. My guess is that it ran machine shop equipment. It is a 2 cycle,it has a moveable lever to adjust the ignition timing. It will run in both directions. It has an upright cylinder, water cooled, and I'm guessing somewhere around 3-5h.p. Any information on specifications or history would be appreciated. Thanks S.J.

I just located a Sandow engine, as described in the initial posting, in running order. It is available but I have no idea as to it's value. Can anyone give me a "ballpark: estimate as to value? Thanks. Bob
