We have a very old stationary motor,LeRoi serial # 87523 (no model#) with an Eismann magneto. It's a 4 cylinder gas motor approximate dimensions 2'w x 3'l x 3'h. It has a small brass dome-topped radiator & a barrell-shaped gas tank with a cast "gas" cap.The tag simply says Le Roi #87523 Milwaukee. Someone suggested that it was originally a kit made from early Ford Model A or T parts. Someone else wrote to us suggesting it might be a D176 or D201. Any words of wisdom for the undereducated? Thanking you in advance for your input. -HK

there is a guy who sells le roi 4 cylinder manuals on e-bay...even if maunal is not for this specific engine, there might be enough generic le roi info to give you some insight into how your engine runs, etc....check under "leroi" and "le roi" (space between the word "the" and "king")

Heather~Waukesha Motor Company acquired the LeRoi line in the early 1950's. Most data at this point was destroyed. The four cylinder Model CR engine was a extremely popular...its 31/8 X 41/2 inch four cylinder engine powered a great many lightweight tractors of the 1920's and 1930's, including International Harvesters' motor culivator.
