I know this isn't the right place but can anyone direct me the right direction to find out info on grist mills. I have a Richmond MIlling Co mill and would like to find new stones for it. they are about 18 inches across and appear to be man made of some kind of porous material that is extremely hard and have been set in some kind of mortar in the metal casings and have metal bands around them. The stones are worn down to the metal bands and the cuttings in the stones are barely visible. It is in perfect working condition other than that I any help is appreciated.

To Mike Herren: Meadows Mills in North Wilksboro,North Carolina has been making grist mills for one hundred years.I'm not familiar with the name you state, but they may know of or about it. They made different named mills in the past. Visit their website at www.meadowsmills.com Hope this helps.
