had my 3 hp jd running today. went to answer phone. came back 30 minutes later. it was not running. no big deal at first buttook a closer look. my mag was no where to be found. it was 20 ft away in several pieces. did not tear it down yet to check damage. what do you think happened. did mag tie up or did the gear break? where do i get a mag. nothing left of this one. thanks guys

I am going to guess that the bolts that that secure the mag got loose and the cam gear ejected the mag. The threads in the aluminum mag body are often very poor. I thought mine were fine and after about fifty hours running the mag had gotten so loose that the gears were whining. Now I heli-coil them even if they look fine. Check out engineads.com and you should be able to come up with a mag or parts. E-mail me if you have more troubles. Bill
