I am in process of restoring a 2 horsepower Model "Z", which according to its serial number, was manufactured in 1926. As I am new to engine restoration, some questions come up....Previously this engine was painted red & yellow which I know are incorrect colors. Stripping this away, there are little traces of original finish. I understand from searching the 'Net that a Dulux green or Rustoleum Hunter Green is the appropriate color for this engine. However, I have seen Model "Z"s painted in this shade of green, but with red flywheels ("dishpan" type). Is this color scheme "factory correct"? And if so, was red (or another color) used to accent other parts as well? At this point in the restoration process, this engine will require the following replacement parts: pulley, spark plug cover, fuel throttle valve, starting fuel throttle valve, muffler, and fuel tank. Any thoughts as to sources for these? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
