I am working on a Cushman engine,it is a Model 6C-34 5-6 H.P. it is water cooled,as it has a water pump.Did it have a radiator of sorts or was it a screen/buckett arrangement? I would like to very much know what were these built for?and maybe the age, and is it Rare? It is currently hooked up to a buzzsaw with a flatbelt but it has no radiator as grandpa used to run water through it from the creek. I have searched the arcives with no avail. Thank's in advance,Geo

I have the same model cushman engine that you dessribe except mine says just C-34 4-6 hp. It is a mid 30s to early 40s engine exactly 1934 till 1941. When I got mine it had nothing to cool it so I made a tank and cone similar to the older models. I don't think it had a radiator since it had no place to mount a fan or place to put a belt to pull it. I made my tank out of an old commercial mop bucket I found at the dump. I took the handels off and made the cone out of galvanized tin using a paper one as a patttern. I piped it up and I have ran it about 30 to 45 minutes and it seems to cool well. I need to ask you some questions about the oiling system of this engine. where should the oil level come to and how do you tell if the oil pump is working?
