I don't even know what to ask for but I would like to buy a small single piston engine. What can I expect to spend? Where can I find one?
THanks

Go to Enginads.com Go to Big Engine ads and watch for awhile. You will see quite a variety of engines for sale.

Probably the best source for an engine would be a shop that does lawn mower repair. The vertical shaft engines can be bought here in Alabama for $25 or so, in decent condition but not running. Good engines of all types and sizes can be found around here at flea markets and garage sales for $100 or less. Old mowers are often given away, sometimes in running condition. If we knew where you are located and a little more about what you want to do with the engine, someone might be more specific.
