C.H. Wendels book, American Gas Engines lists
Schmidt engine built in Davenport Ia. around 1910 There have been articles in Gas Engine Mag.
years back. This is a rare engine.

Thanx - I was aware of the book but haven't seen a copy yet. Have sent for an instruction booklet for the engine but it hasn't arrived yet. Does anyone out there have one running?

Dave:

I just found your entries and my step father has one of these engines. He would love to talk with you if you are still interested in this engine.

Please let us know so I can get you in touch with him. He doesn't have the internet.

Thanks!
Barb

I just bought a Schmidt's chilled cylinder engine ,at an auction . It is missing the flywheel that has the cooling fins on it . Do you have or Know someone who does have one for sale ? Or even a flywheel without fins, that would fit ? It is an air cooled 3hp .

Thanks Dave
