I've posted a similar mesage here before. I need to know what type of chain, ect. to use as a oil slinger inside a old air compressor pump. it runs off of a half round groove in the crankshaft and just hangs down into the oil sump and is just hooked around a post in the sump to keep it(the chain) from flinging around inside the crank case.
I'm in the last stage of restoration and really need some help.....

I have seen a 41 chain used in some places. This chain looks like bicyle chain and has the same length as 40 chain, but narrower. In some places I have seen a large washer used, it just hangs on the shaft with the bottem in the oil.
