I have traded for a 6hp Armstrong engine that
a neighbor of mine used to run a grist mill.
The engine was manufactored in Waterloo Iowa.
It has a lot of simularities to a Waterloo Boy. I was just wandering if anyone could help with
any info. I've put this on other sites with no
results. This engine has a 5-3/4inch bore and
approxamtelly a 12 inch stroke. Any help would be greatlly appreciated.

I am glad to hear of another Armstrong out there. I was wondering if you could tell me what the name plate said for info. I have a 7Hp Armstrong that was built in Charles City, IA. The engine color should be a nice deep blue. Similar to the old Ford engine blue. I have recently finished the restoration on mine. What is the condition of yours? I don't have much time this morning to elaborate on the company history so I will get back tonight with more. I can e-mail photos or origional ads if needed.

Other than being manufactured in Waterloo Iowa in the early 1900s by the Armstrong Manufacturing Company not much is known about these engines. They are rare as far as I know. I will keep my ears open for any more info.
