Hey Guys
Need help from someone on my three JD engines I have had the 1-1/2 the 3 and 6hp engines for some time now but have never tryed to start or run any of them! partly because I have just not had the time to mess with them and MOSTLY because I dont know a darn thing about them!
Just got back from the Franklin County Show in Brookville Indiana (A Great Show I may Add! cant wait to go back next year) and they must have had a 150 engines there and they kind of got me fired up about getting mine running!
All three of my engines are in very good shape and were said to run at the time of purchase!
My question is WHERE DO I START? I need the complete Idiot crash course for I dont even really know for sure where the oil and gas go! Yet alone know how to start one! I wasnt kidding when I said Mostly because I didnt know a darn thing about them! Anyone out there want to get out there 10 foot pole and try and touch me with it on this one?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks Bob Smith

Bob; Dont know where you are located but if you are interested you ought to check into the clubs in your area. I belong to a couple that help each other and put on annual shows like the Lake Itasca Region Pioneer Farmers Inc. of Northern MN. Lots of knowledge in those clubs and willing teachers if you are sincere. Bob

Bob, I think your "best bet" is to buy several books on the JD Engine, there are several listed in Gas Engine Mag, or perphaps "Starbolt", there are a lot of sources out there. They are a simple engine to work on and adjust, get some basic info, and then ask your questions, on things that you don't understand. luck to you..... .....
