I don't know very much about this type of engine, so maybe some one here can tell me about this Lister engine?? I found it in an old barn, and the old gentleman who sold it to me said Lister is a very good engine of this type, and that's why he bought two of them years ago for his own use. I now own both of them, and soon as i get them home, i'm going to get them running again. They both ran fine when he put them in the barn. Can anyone tell me what size this engine is, or anything else about it?? Thanks for any info you may have, Robert

Hi there

The 2 engines you have are early Lister D engines . E-mail the serial numbers and I can roughly date them for you and tell you some more about them . I have manuals , magneto manuals and heaps of info on these engines.
Please view my website where you will find lots of my Lister D engine photos

No problem Robert , glad I can help.
The Lister D on my website was purchased 3 months ago as my first stationary engine.
I have researched all about the Lister D so I have heaps of information if you need it.
I made contact with someone who holds all the records for the Lister engines and he can tell you the EXACT date it was purchased from the company and WHO brought it !!
It will be a pleasure to pass the information I have on to you.

Regards

Alan

Hello I hope this finds you all well.
I am trying to find a Lister engine (new or used) to buy so I can build a gen-set. I have had no success. Where do I look? Does anyone have an engine to sell? Any information is appreciated>
Thanks

The green lister is from a lister Brunston generating set you can tell by the larger heavier spoked flywheel to keep the speed more constant for the generator
