i just bought a shear with this engine on it but the distributer was pulled out, i got it cranking nicely but it wont fire . can someone help me with the firing order for this one

i should try to be clearer, what i need is to time this engine and ineed to know if there are any marks on the engine i can line up with the cam marks AND are there cam marks and where is the plug that i can pull to see those marks , also where is the # 1 cylinder on this 4 banger

Number 1 cyclinder is first one on left as you face front of engine. Timing marks are on front of flywheel. Should be DC marked on flywheel,follow dc mark to edge of flywheel,there should be a x mark on one of the vanes. Mark this x with something white so you can see it better with timing light. It is easier to take off front screen to see mark. Timing is Set with engine running at 2000RPM or greater. This is for distr. type engine. I can mail you a copy of Starting and Operating Instructions which covers this and all other specs. Hope this helps you out.
