Had this over on Tool Talk, little response. Found a Winco 5kw Generator Set with Wisconsin 2cyl power. Runs at 1800 RPM, 22 hours on meter. Any ideas on fair price? Friend of mine is moving to town and he doesn't think he'll use it. It was never connected to the house, just used it to power tools (saws, drills, etc.) when in the back 40. I think he kept it waxed, looks great!
Thanks, Bill C.

I have a question for you. Can you tell me how he is driving that Generator with the wisconsin engine ? Is it a direct couple ? or is it belt drive ? Thanks Ray B.

Ray, Sorry so long in responding. That was Feb/Mar? It's been nuts here for 9 months, and I've neglected the fun.
I just bought the Wisconsin/Winco generator this week, and was nosing around here and re-found my post. It is direct drive, with 120/240VAC and 12VDC windings and outlets. Elec. Starter built in to Gen., and always starts on first impulse coupling "hit" with the hand crank. The wife even likes it.

I know it's been a while since you posted but.... Sounds like you have what I just bought. Mine seems to be a 1959 vintage. Needs some engine work (winter project). I paid $305 for mine, not sure if it's good or not, but I'm stuck with it now. Ray, mine is direct coupled, gen head to motor with 4 bolts. Not sure about the shaft yet as I don't have it apart just yet.
