Maytag Hint's and Suggestions Maytag Engine starting tag.

I found a "Maytag Hint's and Suggestions" pamphlet along with a "To Start" tag for a Maytag engine, the envolope is in real rough shape but the tag and pamphlet are in good to excelent condition, I also have what I beleave to be the square tub washer these papers came with even though it has an electric motor on it, my question is would a square tub washer have been converted with a kit from Maytag from gas to electric or is the washer newer than the paper work I have?

If you have an aluminum square tub washer, it could very well have originally come with a gas engine. It's pretty much just a case of unbolting the gas engine, and then bolting an electric motor in place.
