I recently inherited a Fairbanks 1 1/2 hp Model Z. It is decent shape, complete and has run, altho not recently. How rare is it and what could I expect to sell it for? I want to put the money into my 29 Ford AA.

Thanks, BK

The value will depend on vintage and style.
Mag or battery ignition. Post year or serial number.
It will help define better what you really have.
Here in the mid-west not to many running hit-mis engines go less then $400.

The S/N is usually stamped on the top of the water hopper at the front of the engine.

I have just purchased a Fairbanks - Morse Stationary engine. It is a Z type 3hp and has a 1927 id badge.

Can you please tell me what kind of spark plug should be used. Would you what type of spark plug wsa used originally?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
