Hi Folks,

I have a two cylinder hopper cooled Le Roi engine with both exhause valves stuck in the open position. I have tried PB Blaster in the plug holes for the past month and they have not broken loose. I removed all of the head nuts (13 studs) and am trying to remove the head/hopper (they are cast as one unit and heavy to be sure. I cannot get the head to break loose. Am soaking the studs in Blaster for about two weeks now. Does anyone have any suggestions. I would appreciate it greatly as this is a nice engine that has just been sitting in someone elses shed for too long. Aside from the stuck valves everthing else is in good order.

Thanks,
Bruce in PA

hi
i'd just let the penetrating oil do its job...fill it up and let it sit ... remove the head as a last resort....spare parts for these engines do not exist...so the most conservative approach seems to me the best...i have a similar engine..very rare...only a handfull around
