Hello all, i am new to this part of the board, I have some questions about this engine, a man gave the engine to me if i can move it. can anyone tell me what it weighs and the best way ot pick it and transport it?? Thanks for the help TR

Tex, That engine, if it is an early open design, is listed as having a shipping weight of 7,400 lbs. If it is the enclosed design I would add another 1000lbs. The thing to remember is not to put any side load on the flywheels. In the few cases where I have to lift by the wheels, I use a large (4") pipe going from side to side. I then lift as close to each wheel as possible.

Thanks for the info, i have not had time to look at it yet, i hope to this week. that will give me a better idea, he told me it should still run, I hope so
