howdy,I have an old ThermoKing genset I'm trying to get running for the cabin where we live (no power lines here). It has a Mercedes OM636 4-cyl diesel which threw a rod through the block. I saw another identical unit which used an Isuzu C201 engine. I think the bellhousing pattern might be the same; i.e. some kind of SAE standard for this size motor. The local Thermoking dealer offered me a used motor for 400 bucks, but I don't have that kind of coin right now. If anyone has either brand/model engine, running, that you'd part with cheap, please do email me. I'm in SW Oregon, but may be able to arrange cheap freight via a trucker friend. PS; If you have a non-running OM636, I might be able to use that too, so long as it's mechanically OK. I.e., if it's just an injection pump problem, I could swap the pump off this blown motor. thanks guys! Richard
