Does any one have any information on a Cushman Model C 4 H.P. Engine number 01763 RPM 850 Mfg. Nov 14, 1911??? I got this engine from a friend its got a radiator water cooled and looks to be in good shape. They used to to cut fire wood several years ago but now its stuck cause its been seting in a shed for the last ten years so I would like to get her going and mabe take her to the engine shows. Also is there a Cushman site or club that is on the web? Would this be a engine worth hanging on to? Thanks Obie

Most of the Cushman engines I've had have been stuck. Luckly, every time I could get them free'd up by putting some penetrating in the cylinder and rocking the flywheel back and forth. Even if the piston doesn't move at first, the play of the flywheel may be enough to brake it loose. The Cushmans I had were also stuck due to non-use. They run very strong after getting them free'd up.
Good luck-
