Got my mates engine turning and injecting fuel but there's not a kick out of it. All I have are six blisters from trying to start it. I have tried heating the manifold and cylinder with a blow lamp, putting a little petrol, meths, cellulose thinners, diesel and oil into manifold. It just won't attempt to fire. Next idea is to put a belt on a drive it from another engine to see if it will run. Oh, I will try ether too, just didn't have any to hand at time. Has anyone got any other good ideas? Don't think I'll be spending any money on it but it would be nice to see it run.

I have never seen one of these in person. Here is a site I hope will help you. I am not associated with these folks in any way.

Does it have compression? Is the injector pump in time? If no compression, Does it have a decompression release which might be stuck in the on position.

Yes, its got compression but I thin its low becasue of wear, decompression lever is working ok. I think pump timing is ok as there isn't much scope for adjusting it. Fine adjustment is by shims and I have it back together as it was when it last ran. I think its just too worn. I'll try turning it with another engine sometime.
