Hiya Gang,
How would I go about starting a Stover CT-2?
Proper procedure and stuff and what way to spin the flywheel? And any other info if at all possible. Thanks! PS: What gas and what oil should be used for this engine?

Go to www.enginads.com Click on Site Sponsors, and look for STARBOLT or HIT & MISS ENTERPRISES. Either one of them can supply you with a reprint owner's manual.

I use regular gasoline. Open the fuel adjustment screw a turn and a half. HOld the intake valve in with your finger and from the mag side crank the engine clockwise. When it starts to blow fuel out the open intake valve take your finger off to let the valve close and comtinue to complete your crank stroke. You have to be careful because if you do not follow through with the crank it might hit and kick back on you. You want the engine secure in some way to do this. Good luck.
