Hello, I am trying to get a 3 hp Briggs and Stratton engine running for a little boy's gocart by Christmas. The engine isn't getting fuel somewhere and I'm out of ideas. It is a pulsa jet carb and only runs when there is fuel poured in the breather. It has sat for a while and the carb I'm sure is varnished up, BUT after cleaning every passage I could find in the carb, it still dies after the fuel in the carb is burned up. I even put another carb from a spare engine I had on it, but it has been off an engine for a while too and does the same thing, it ran a little longer than the other one. Got a nearly half full tank of fuel and I'm running out of ideas. Has this ever happened to anyone and could it be the diaphram?? Thanks!

Put in a new diaphram and make sure both fuel pipes and the jet and needle are clean.

I had the same problem.Cleaned the screans on both fuel pickup tubes and put 2 gaskets between the carb and fuel tank.Same with rubber diaphram,2 gaskets.
