What is the difference between an IHC LA and a LB
engine? I see more information on the LA than the
LB.I have a IHC type LA with serial LA B12389 and
need to know starting and operating information.
Would it use kerosen or gas? The fuel tank is rusty and needs a good cleaning, spark is strong and overall condition is good has been stoed inside for years. How old and how much is it worth?

The LB's have an oiler for the rocker arms and a throttle governor lever, unlike the LA's screw and locknut. There may be other differences I'm unaware of.

Both are gasoline burners only. I've seen them go for between $200 and $500 depending on condition.
