I have a RCW 6 qt electric freezer from the mid 80s. My can rusted - I threw it out but still have all the rest of the parts - motor (runs fine), wooden pail (tub), frame, can top, and beater. Anyone interested in buying what I have?

I am looking for an instruction manual for this product. My mother-in-law just passed one on to us but no one has the book. I have no idea how it works for sure. I would even be happy if someone could explain it to me. I am also looking for ice cream recipes. We have a two year old girl and I can't wait to share the experience of making ice cream with her. Thanks to anyone who can help.

You can find instructions for many brands of ice cream makers including RCW at

Link

The company is out of business so parts will be hard to find.

I join many of you in search of the instuctions manual and recipe book for the RCW 165A, 5 quart ice cream maker. I hope someone has success. I've tried contacting people selling RCW ice cream makers on eBay hoping they could send a copy. No response yet. Who ever gets a copy first, please send it to www.sendicecream.com. They can post the instructions on the web.

I have a recipe and instructions book for the RCW 165A ice cream maker. Also have parts list but parts are no longer available. My "can" is rusty and I don't know if I can find something else to use with the machine.

I just purchased a Sterling 5qt ice cream freezer from a thrift store. I did not realize I would have to use ice and will probably take it back. But if anyone wants parts from it, or the whole thing I would gladly pass it on at cost plus S&H. I paid $8. It has all parts except quart and manual. Let me know whitin a couple days!

I have a Richmond Cedar Works 4 quart Ice Cream maker purchased in the early 1980's.

I need to replace the container, lid and paddle that goes inside the can.

If yours is the same I would be interested in paying price plus Shipping & Handling.

Do you still have this ice cream maker? I would be interested in the motor, if not the whole thing.

I'd suggest keeping an eye on eBay for parts. Richmond Cedar Works is long gone. It was purchased by Dimon (a tobacco leaf processor also located in Danville, VA) in 1967. In 1990, Dimon sold it's ice cream maker business to Rival Products (of crock pot fame). The web site is www.rivalproducts.com, customer service is 1-800-557-4825 (if that doesn't work, try 1-800-546-5637).
