i have a mod tjd spec#73272a.need to find a 12 volt starter.if someone could tell me what brand it used. thanks dennis murray spfd mo.

FOr the TJD 12v, I show the following Wisconsin P/N YA-61 which is a prestolite P/N MHA-7021 for serial numbers above 608422,

There is an optional Delco version, Wisconsin P/N YA-32B, Delco p/n 1998301 for serial numbers above 6050289.

According to my Wisc books they uaed a Prestolite
MBG-4140, GDY-4116 and GYB-36-B on the Th,THD and TJD models.

Hello Dennis, You need to get a manual for your engine off Ebay(enter Wisconsin Engine). Either that or call the factory@800-922-5632 ext #6 Ask for Hike. He can tell you which starter you need. On the starter. You can buy new, but they are spendy,try Ebay,or Rock Creek Consulting. (wisconsinengine@earthlink.net. You should be able to find a good used starter for a lot less. Hope this helps.
