Can anyone help me with dating of a McCormick-Deering 1 1/2 HP engine? Just pulled it out of the shed from the family farm and got it going again after some clean up and lube work. Serial number is W95730. Is there point of delivery info on these too?

Also, how fast should the oil drip rate be?

Your engine was manufactured in 1930 and is listed with the gasoline series versus being designed to operated on kerosene. I don't have any info on delivery but someone else may have that. I'd agree with Mike as to drip rate. Steve

Hi Wade,
The drip oiler should be set at 5 to 10 drops per minute. I lean more toward the high end. I'd rather deal with a little oily mess than wear out my engines. I could tell you the year, but I don't have the serial number list near me right now. Someone else will come along soon that can tell you. Good luck with your engine.
Mike
