How do you tell the difference in a 162 and a 163?

I do not know exactly what you are getting at. I do not have casting numbers right here, but the difference is internal. I know when I got involved with a certain gasket manufacture the head gasket had to be changes a little bit because of the changes. Right now my mind just went blank but I think the center main is now the thrust and that is why the distributor had to move. Interesting the 227 we looked at had a 226 casting number and it had been ground off, but it was a 227 with a flanged thrust.

Anyone know if flywheel, intake and exhaust manifolds, and distributor will interchange?
