I was wondering what year this Boiler would be? What size engine might sit on top of it? Any good info at all on these old Boilers would be helpful. What would something like this be worth?

It has 'A. B. Farquhar York PA' on the doors, and a place for a steam engine on the top.

Thanks,

Case1950

From the book "Encyclopedia of American Farm Tractors", by CH Wendel:

A. B. Farquhar Co., York PA:

The Farquhar operations can be traced back to 1856, and a company known as the Pennsylvania Agricultural Works. A large variety of farm implements were built by Farquhar under this trade name, and eventually the firm was renamed as A. B. Farquhar Company.

Ajax steam engines, both stationary and traction, became a mainstay of the business for many years.

In 1915, Farquhar got into the tractor business for about ten years. Farquhar sawmill machinery was available until 1952, when the plant was sold to the Oliver Coporation.

I may have some more information in a book on steam engines, IF I can find it!

I'm trying to contact Case 150 because I have info about A. B. Farquhar activities. This come from the book: Percival Farquhar, The Last titan (1964, out of print). I also need help from Case 150 concerning license to use his AB Farquhar Steam Boiler on above mentioned the book, because I'm translating it into Portuguese to be published in Brazil. Please help me to contact Case 150 as soon as possible. It's really urgent.
