Does anyone know where I could find decals for a Clinton engine? Also, I still need help on setting the points on it. I need to know where to put the gauge at. It says set points to 20 thousandths, but I don"t know where the 20 thousandths would be. Also, do I set the gap by moving the part of the points that has the slotted hole and the little screw? Thanks so much

Grant, Try Maple- Hunter decals, I met them at Portland, Indiana and over the years purchase a couple of Clinton decals from them as other brands too. As far as the ignition points, the points should open and close as you crank the engine over, Of course you probably will have to take the flywheel off to find the ignition box, it might have a little wire locking the lid and gasket on it. You didn't say if it's a 2 cycle or a 4 cycle engine, but once you find the ignition points, use your feeler gauge to adjust the points in their "open" condition , when the bump on the cam is lifting them up....trial and error for the setting , the feeler gauge should barely "drag" when you pull it out.then tighten down the screw and check it again before putting it back together to test...If you have trouble , don't hesitate to check back here.Have Fun!!
