There was a rare tractor in canada called a Waterloo Bronco that used the TE designated Wisconsin engine, might be sought after by some one owning one.Let me know if you want to sell,I know of several owners.

what would the firing order be for the model te?i was told the cyl. closest to the flywheel is number 1 cyl.? witch would be number 1 on the distributor cap,the one closest to the block or the one furthest? this engine has some kind of clutch on it,the tag says i believe rockford clutch div. of borg warner. thanks for any help.

Pre 1957 engine. Used on generators, welders, gibson tractors (early sd2 used TE or TF or THD), and as a power unit. Mid teens horsepower. If you have one, your lucky. I have some parts for the TF but not rods and piston. The TF has different bore than TE.

i have a te wisconsin motor and the distributor gear has 2 broken teeth, but the generator gear looks good. would you have a gear for the distributor or know of some places to find parts like this?

from the manual, .030 gap for plugs and champion d-16 or ac no c86 commercial. braker gap is .015 for fm or wico.

where did you get this engine?

sales quoted me $500 a rod for the te just a couple days ago so my parts engine is now a confirmed parts only engine. with critical parts missing. If you need parts, better buy them now from someone who has not tried to restock anything lately and get your parts cheaper quickly.

if you have the block resevoir off, are your crank pins 1.75?

number one cylinder is closest to the flywheel. my "engine" sends spark to both cylinders every stroke but only one does anything as the other hits that eylinder during exhaust (reason - good for generators). For convenience, the manual says use the tower nearest the engine as no one. You can not get this done without a manual. I have a new one for its price. But there are many available on the internet; mine only covers the te and tf where as some others cover more models. Saw a reuilt thd for $2900 today. They also hade a rebuildable core for 2700 and a short block for 1400. i needed a pulley sheave for a bknd and that costs 40+ for a used one. parts are not cheap.

the side opposite the engine goes to the strainer and the strainer is connected to the tank.

There are many places on the internet for parts and gaskets. Just do a google 'wisconsin engine parts' search. Or, post on Antique Small Engine Collectors Club where there are a lot of people who regularly post and followup on wisconsin engines.

The price varies greatly. The best price I know of for a good condition running engine is 500 and it goes quickly up from there. Ebay has a couple now for less than that but the shipping will kill the deal. I saw a complete rebuilt tf this week for 3,000 and a short block for 1,400. Another short block for 1,750. A rebuildable core for 2,800. I have some parts for an engine but no gaskets , rods and pistons and I can buy one cheaper than trying to put together this one. I bought this at an extate sale and the deceased never finshed, but did manage to misplace parts and all the bolts.
