The V-4 Wisconsin on a brush chipper I just bought had the same problem as the ones on hay balers had when I was a kid. Get it warm or hot and shut it off or kill it and it wont start until it cools down a bit. When discussing this at the local coffee shop last week an old farmer gave me the fix and acted like he couldn"t beleive I had never heard it before, mix some 2 cycle oil in the gas. I tried it and mine will start in one revolution cold hot or anywhere inbetween. Left the oil out of one tankfull and the hot start problems returned. It doesn"t take a lot, I didn"t realy measure it. The tank holds 10 gallons and I haven"t quite used all of a quart of outboard oil in three fillups. Thought this info might be of use to somebody here.

Great idea, it could work because the oil raises the vaporazation temperature. This might be a fix for other engins with a hot start problem.
