Looking for help I have a continential G176 engine. The engine had very low (less than 5 PSI) oil pressure. I pulled the engine and had the crank turned and cam bearings installed. I reassembly the engine with a rebuild oil pump, new rod & main bearings, and new rings. The engine runs good but it still has very low oil pressure (less then 10 PSI @1500 RPM) I did not trust the original oil pressure guage so I check the pressure with a new one. I know it is impossible to trouble shoot an engine thru e-mail, but maybe you might know of something that is common to the G176 Continential Engine that might cause this problem. Any help you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you did everything right but no oil presure. Two things pop in my mind.1.pump not sealed leaking oil before pressure can build.2.I had oil line fitting on two tractors (Ford and Ferguson)not tight where it comes out of block.check all connection because it may only be a drop or so but it will not let pressure build up.Good luck.email if you want
