I just purchased an old two cylinder Wisconsin and the Spec. tag that was on the engine cover is missing. Does anyone know if the Make and/or Model # is stamped anywhere else on the engine block ? Or if there is anyway of finding out this information ?

Jerry

your 2 cyl. could also be a model te I have a model te I bought from a junk yard at 20 cents a pound . cost me 48 dollars. parts are available but pricey.you might call this person in minn, roger stadler , 651-292-1556. the te has 12hp at 2400 rpm . mine has a rockford clutch on it. good luck .

Hey Steve-Maine, thanks for your help on this matter. I finally found some numbers on the side of the block behind the magneto. (BA-51-A) and just above that is the number (84-D) or at least it appears to be the letter "D". Could possibly be (84-O). Any information you could give me on this would be of great appreciation. I am going to need new rings, rod bearings, gasket set, one intake valve-spring, one exhaust valve spring with the retainers and keepers. Also if you have any advice on where to purchase these parts at a resonable price, I would appreciate that as well.

Yo Steve-Maine, I hate to keep bothering you about this but does the info I give you indicate the year of the engine ? I thought maybe the 51 meant 1951.

The 51 is part of casting number of block. There might be other numbers that tell year built. Northeast Machine could tell you that.
