I have a Le Roi 2 cylinder engine (M-3) on a Dandie Cement Mixer with steel wheels.

Anyone hear of either? Know where I can get parts (lots of parts, needs to be restored bolt by bolt)? How much something like this is worth?

Thanks, Scott

Le roi started making engines about 1913 and made a jillion models through about 1954. I have 9 so far and a few extra parts. The model m and variations was a popular madel. If you look on the back side of the block and up towards the top there is usually a small casting number that is the casting date. Evidentally they never discontinued making a model as you will find all kinds of dates. I have original factory books on most of them so ican usually be of some help. I have been getting gaskets from a company in washington state and you can get rings from about anybody that makes them. As far as other parts you are out of luck unless you can find another engine. There are maybe two dozen of us in the whole country that are really interested in them. Also there is basically no market for them so they go cheap. Anybody that needs help i will do my best with info for you. In about 1954 westinghouse air brake company bought le roi out of the engine business and shut them down and destroyed all company records. Their parent company owned le rois competetion.
