This generator is well rated. Fellow told me he ran his house and two neighbor's fridges during the hurricanes last year with this 5500. No problems.

Lowes is not so good, IMO. They had it for sale under the tax holiday in Florida. Also lowered their price to match Home Depot. But then the generator was "on order" and "coming in" until the tax holiday expired. And now they won't fully honor the price they had "because the competition is no longer at that price." So Lowes strings you along to wait for something they don't deliver. If you wait, you lose because Lowes does not give rainchecks for what they can't deliver. Makes it pretty easy to offer a good price when you don't deliver at that price.
