I just found a couple interesting old compressors, but, due to the fact that they're also an engine, I figured this would be the place to post.
They were built by Ingersoll Rand, 6 cylinder layout, 3 cylinders are the engine, the other 3 are the compressor.
They're both Spot Air model 3-R-36's one is complete, the other is missing the engine heads, compressor intake, carb, mag, air cleaner and fuel tank.
I found one Spot Air in a quick google search, but, it's definatley not the same model, and looks to be smaller.

Carb is a Marvel Schebler, mag is a 6 cyl Fairbanks Morse FM-X unit, but, it only uses 3 leads of course.
I'm just curious if anyone else has run into one of these. I even almost had it running, cleaned up the points, cleaned the carb, got it to fire, and then the mag quit working....

I have one also, it was used on the DMIR rail road. I'm in the process of retoring it.
