fireing position was set 3 to 4 after tdc
exhaust was set OK now need rocker arm gap Has a 1/4 inch gap

As long as your exhaust valve is timed right, the gap between the valve and the rocker arm doesnt really matter. But, 1\4'' or less is pretty close. As long as there is a litte bit of a gap it'll run fine.

Billybob, I'll try to awnser what I think your asking....OK, at TDC compression roll the engine thru slowly, at BDC your exhaust valve should JUST START to open,,,,,keep rolling it thru,,,,then it should close just a hair before TDC again. If you time your engine like this you will have your valve clearance. And remember for any Fairbanks ZC parts go to www.ArrowEngine.com or just call me at 1-800-331-3662 and ask for Doug.
