I just aquired a V-461D Wisconsin engine after changing points, condenser, and plug it runs well. The engine has several different colors on it I would like to know what color it was originally, and what kind of horse-power it produces.

OK Bud,
I receintly had the same need. I just partially restored a VF4 & A THD. I know that you can go to auto paint supplier & get any color matched but for automotive quality finish, It will cost >>>$. I took a piece that had some good paint on it to local farm supply & had them computer match it. The results were acceptable to me. the paint is not as hard as some but color match was very good. So if you can find a source that handles "Valspar", Here is the formulation:
B 1Y 47.5/48
C 3 /48
F 1 /48
KX 45.5 /48
This is for 1 Qt. of 21929 Gloss clear base
Cost was < $7.
It does not advise about spraying/thinning but I put about 1 part to 8 of the Valspar restoration reducer & it worked great. Oh, The WI std. color is a blue/gray

Hope this helps. Ken B

Color could depend on what it was used on or who it was made for and what year it was made?
