I have a friend that cleans old yards sites for people, for the scrap iron. He showed me an engine he is going to take the recking hammer to next week. I told him I don't know alot about this stuff, but it might be worth more if he advertises it as an antique. It says on it 20 HP, and on the back it is called a stickney engine. He may have already dragged it out of the building and wrecked it, but if theres interest and I get back to him in time let me know. It weighs tons and tons though. He figures he'll get $500 in scrap cast, so he'd at least need this much I guess. Thanks

On the off chance that this is for real, yes there are at least three 20 horse Stickneys that are known to exist, and yes they are valuable. I would be happy to offer ten times the scrap price blind, and I don't even want one.

I don't think they made a 20hp Stickney, but a stickney is a rare engine and should be worth AT LEAST 2 grand to anybody in almost any shape. And at that size, very very few are still known to exist. DEFINATELY DO NOT DESTROY THAT ENGINE!!!! Go to www.enginads.com and post it there. I Guarantee you will get responses on it and definately more than $500.
